Move over chips! This spicy ranch nut mix is the new healthy snack sheriff in town. Gluten free with a paleo option and full of good fats!

A healthy alternative when you’re craving junk food.

Endometriosis is a disease that isn’t always forgiving to your body when you eat highly processed and inflammatory raising foods. This recipe is also acceptable for the endometriosis diet. If you like, take out the pretzels from the equation for a more whole food / paleo approach. Your body will thank you!

Equipment

  • steel pan x 2
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

Nuts

  • 3 cups raw almonds
  • 3 cups raw cashews
  • 3 cups gluten free pretzels
  • 4 tbsp liquid coconut oil

Ranch Seasoning

  • 2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp dried dill weed
  • 2 tsp dried chives
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt + pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F°. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, add the nuts and pretzels, coconut oil and spices. Mix and stir until evenly coated.
  • Distribute nuts evenly onto baking sheets. Place in oven and bake for 7-9 minutes and stir. Bake for the another 7 minutes. Watching carefully that the nuts do not burn.
  • Let cool and enjoy!

Notes

  • I like to use the raw nuts from Costco Canada
  • My favourite coconut oil is from Real Canadian Superstore
  • At the end of the first 7 minutes of baking, you can swap the pans from bottom to top to ensure even cooking.
